Why it is different

Everyone teaches SEO. Almost nobody teaches the other half.

Ranking in Google and being cited by ChatGPT are two different jobs. They overlap, but the parts that do not overlap are the parts nobody is being taught: whether AI crawlers can reach your server at all, how cleanly your content extracts as a quotable answer, and how consistently your business is described across the wider web.

I went looking for a UK course that teaches both and could not find one. Every training provider I checked teaches classic SEO only, and treats AI search as a slide at the end if it appears at all. Day two of this course is built around exactly that gap.

The second difference is whose website we use. Every course I could find teaches on a worked example: an invented company, or a screenshot of a site you have no access to. This runs on yours. We point all 40 of our free tools at it in session two, including the live crawler test, and everything after that is fixing what came back. That is only possible because we built the tools.

The outline

10 sessions, 12 hours

Numbered because it genuinely is a sequence: each session works on what the one before it produced. 8 of the 10 are hands-on.

Day one — classic SEO, on your site

6 hours
How search actually works

Crawl, index, rank, serve. The four stages and where sites fail at each. The only session that is pure teaching, because everything after it depends on having this model in your head.

60 min
Audit your own site, live

We point all 40 of our free tools at your real site and read every finding together. Most people have never seen their own crawl, indexation or Core Web Vitals data.

Hands-on
90 min
Fix the technical problems

Work through the audit in priority order and fix what can be fixed while we are sitting there: titles, headings, canonicals, indexation, image weight, structured data.

Hands-on
90 min
Keyword research from scratch

Build a real keyword map for your business, grouped by intent and mapped one page per intent. Includes the honest conversation about which terms are not reachable this year.

Hands-on
120 min

Day two — AI search, and the plan

6 hours
Rewrite a money page together

Take your most commercially important page and rebuild it against search intent. You write it, I correct it. It goes live before we move on — and it is written so both Google and an answer engine can use it.

Hands-on
75 min
Local SEO and Google Business Profile

Claim or fix your profile live, audit your name, address and phone consistency across the web, and plan how reviews will actually arrive. For a local business this is usually the highest-return hour of the weekend.

Hands-on
60 min
How AI answer engines choose their sources

What actually happens when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews for a recommendation in your industry: retrieval, citation, and why entity consistency across the web matters more than any single page. The second teaching session, and the one nobody else runs.

45 min
Make your site quotable — hands on

The live fetch test as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot against your own server, which is where most people find a surprise. Then we fix what it shows: structured data, an llms.txt, entity markup, and restructuring your answers so they extract cleanly.

Hands-on
90 min
Measuring both kinds of visibility

Search Console and Analytics set up properly, conversions defined, and how to track AI citations — including an honest account of what currently cannot be measured, because plenty of people sell certainty here that does not exist.

Hands-on
45 min
Your 90-day plan, written together

You leave with a dated, prioritised plan in your own words covering both disciplines: what to do in weeks one to two, three to six and seven to twelve, and what to ignore on purpose.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What is AIO, and why is it in an SEO course?

AIO — also called GEO, or AI search optimisation — is the work of getting your business cited when someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews for a recommendation. It is in this course because a growing share of the questions that used to become clicks now get answered on the results page or inside an assistant. Learning only classic SEO in 2026 means learning half the job.

Is AIO not just SEO with a new name?

It overlaps heavily and anyone selling it as an entirely separate discipline is overstating it. But three parts are genuinely different: whether AI crawlers can reach your server at all, how cleanly your content extracts as a quotable answer, and how consistently your business is described across the wider web. Those are not on any classic SEO syllabus.

Do other courses cover AI search?

I looked before building this and could not find a UK course teaching both properly. Most treat AI as a closing slide. That is the honest reason this course exists, and if that changes I will say so rather than keep claiming it.

Do I need any experience to take this?

No. The first session builds the model from nothing, and it works just as well for someone who has never opened Search Console. What it does assume is that you have a real website you can log into, because everything after session one happens on it.

Is this one-to-one, or a room full of people?

One-to-one by default. You can bring up to two colleagues at a discount, and that is the hard cap — beyond three it stops being hands-on and becomes a lecture, which is not what you would be paying for.

What does it cost, and is there VAT on top?

The weekend intensive is £999 and the one-day is £599, both one-to-one. There is no VAT to add: we are not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay. Most training providers quote plus-VAT, so compare the totals rather than the headline figures.

Can you run it online?

Yes, over Zoom, anywhere in the world. It works well because the whole course is screen-based anyway — we are both looking at your site, your Search Console and the tools. The only thing you lose is the coffee.

Where does the in-person version happen?

Your premises or a meeting room in Manchester city centre, agreed when you book. Working at your own desk is often better, because your logins and your setup are already in front of you.

What if my website is a mess?

Then you are exactly who this is for, and you will get more out of it than someone whose site is already tidy. We spend session three fixing things, and a site with real problems gives us more to fix.

Do I need to buy any tools?

No. Everything we use is free: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, PageSpeed Insights and our own 40 free tools, including the AI crawler test. Paid research suites get discussed, but you will not need one to act on the plan.

How is this different from a public workshop?

A public workshop teaches using a worked example — somebody else's website, or an invented one. Here every exercise runs on your site, so the output is not notes, it is a site that has actually changed. That is also why it costs more than a shared room.

What happens after the course?

You get 30 days of email support, which is when most of the real questions arrive. After that you either carry on yourself with the plan, or you hire us, and there is no pressure either way — plenty of people do this precisely so they never have to hire an agency.

Can I expense this or claim it against tax?

Training that maintains or updates skills for your existing trade is normally an allowable business expense in the UK, but your accountant should confirm it for your circumstances rather than us. We issue a proper invoice.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refund up to 14 days before. 50% up to 7 days before. Inside a week the date is held for you and cannot be refunded, because at that point the weekend is no longer sellable to anyone else.

Can I just learn this for free instead?

Genuinely, yes, and a fair number of people should. Everything on this site is free and ungated, including the complete guide, the AI search guide and all 40 tools. The course buys you speed and someone correcting you in real time. If you have more time than money, start with the free material.

Want to talk it through first?

Tell us about your site and what you are trying to fix. If the course is not the right answer we will say so.
